Starting a career in care is easy if you have the willingness to work and drive to caring for others. From helping with patients’ medication and general house chores that they can’t always do themselves, it’s not always about the qualifications you have, but the compassion and empathy to make those who need care feel comfortable and helped.
Remember, if you need to reach out to us for any care enquiries or career questions then contact us here or give us a call right away on 03332075727.
What skills do I need?
If you’re looking to become a carer at Care24Seven or any other care agency, you’ll need to speak good English and speaking is the biggest form of communication for our patients and typically, they all speak English.
Additionally, you’ll be working with vulnerable people so you’ll need empathy and to treat patients with dignity whilst maintaining a strict code of confidentiality when necessary
If you’ve worked other jobs such as customer-facing roles, this is an ideal experience for becoming a carer with no experience. You’ll have a lot of transferable skills to make this career change a smooth transition.
Will I be trained?
Anybody who joins the Care24Seven team will be trained and held to a high standard. This means you don’t need to worry about being thrown in the deep-end, we will ease you in and help you whenever needed. We always have supportive and helpful staff so starting your career in care with zero qualifications will be more of a breeze than you think!
